Luxembourg, 10 September 2025 – Marguerite, a pan-European infrastructure investment firm, has appointed Sophie Bajwa as Director of Investor Relations.
She brings over a decade of experience in investor relations and fundraising, primarily focused on financing the green economy. Most recently, she worked at Impax Asset Management, where she built and managed relationships with more than 50 global institutional investors and led the final close of Impax’s fourth renewable energy fund, which raised €460 million.
At Marguerite, Sophie will lead initiatives to deepen engagement with existing limited partners while driving new capital-raising programmes in collaboration with the senior leadership team. Her responsibilities will include expanding and diversifying the firm’s investor base across geographies and investor types, as well as supporting the development of new investment solutions aligned with Marguerite’s long-term growth strategy.
The appointment comes as Marguerite is actively investing funds raised via Marguerite III, its third infrastructure fund, which secured over €700 million in commitments. The fund has already allocated more than 80% of its capital into investments that align with Marguerite’s focus on energy transition, digital infrastructure, and sustainable transport.
“Sophie’s track record in building global investor relationships and her deep understanding of sustainable infrastructure make her ideally suited to help us broaden our investor base and support our ambition to remain a leading provider of capital for Europe’s energy transition and digital transformation,” said David Harrison, CFO and Managing Partner.
Commenting on her appointment, Sophie Bajwa added:
“Marguerite is at the forefront of building Europe’s critical infrastructure, from renewable energy and digital networks to low-carbon transport and circular economy solutions. I’m excited to help scale this impact by broadening our LP base to support the firm’s long-term growth strategy. Having started my career at the United Nations, I’ve always sought to make an impact, and Marguerite’s mission to deliver sustainable value for future generations resonates deeply with me.”
Sophie holds a BA in International Relations and Peace & Conflict Studies from the University of Queensland, Australia, and a Diploma in Economics from the University of London.
She will be based in the Luxembourg office.
